Compared with family records, shows different date of birth, two wives and conflicting birth dates of children ‏(eg. Emma Baughman born to Susan Spade during marriage to Mary Ann Kepler. Need to compare with U.S. Census Records for George Baughman (also shown as Beckman and Bachman)‏.

Census records now examined. The 1850 Census shows George married to Mary Ann, with daughters Louisa and Lavina. The tree above shows Mary Ann dying in 1858. The 1860 census shows George married to Susannah, with children Louise, Isabella Lucette and Orwin. A fifth child, Emily Heckman, is also shown. Note that she is listed last, which is the usual treatment of boarders and guests. In the 1870 Census, Emily is not shown. Lucetta and Orwin are listed, as well as 6 new children born after 1860. Perhaps the tree should not listed her as a daughter?

After writing the above, I stumbled on another possibility. Another family tree has Susan Spade married to Samuel Heckman, born in 1827, but date of death unknown. Their daughter is Emma Louise Heckman. Nothing is known about her mother, Susan Spade, except that she was born in 1831 in Millheim ‏(Springfield Township, Summit County, Ohio, not too far from Franklin Township)‏. There is strong reason to suspect that Samuel Heckman died, or they became divorced, sometime near Mary Ann's death. George and Susannah then wed, and Emma became a part of the family. See family tree below:

Another unresolved detail is that George lists himself as 25 years of age in 1850, and 30 years old in 1860 ‏(41 in 1870)‏. All three Census were taken in Franklin Township. In the 1840 Census, he fits nicely as a son between the ages of 15 to 20 -- at either age. Our own family record shows him to be born in 1826, so he could have been 25 years of age in the first part of 1850. But 30 in 1860? Our family records also do not show a second marriage to Susannah Spade. Could there have been two George Baughmans in Franklin Township, both with a daughter Louisa?
