For reasons set out in the "Genealogy of the Meyer Family," author Henry Meyer believes the first Meyer of our family was Henry Meyer. He tells a story of how Mr. Meyer and his wife met, but not the name of his wife. Author Henry Meyer also does have a date of arrival; or the ship on which transit was made across the ocean; but tells us that he was a native of the Palatinate in Germany. He also believes that Immigrant Henry Meyer arrived in America between 1721 and 1723.
